How Does it End??

Today Victoria started editing the third and final act of the film. I've been thinking and writing about it for months, but last night and this morning we worked together to hammer out the details of how it's going to flow.

This is the baby I gave birth to almost 2 years ago who inspired me to go on this journey.

I am often struck by the evolution of this filmmaking journey. It's a lot like pregnancy, labor, and birth. It starts out with passion--this romantic idea that you want to make a baby, but really you have no idea the emotional and physical energy it's going to take to get from that first step to holding that baby in your arms.

The project is now squarely in the third trimester. There's a lot of anticipation. We have a projected release date but like a due date, it's not exact.

I'm leaning on my support people for encouragement and guidance and trying to plan for the big day. Never having birthed a film before, I'm looking for others who have done it to tell me it's going to be OK.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and continues to support this project in so many ways. It takes a community.
